Pump It Up Radio Headlines: Mutemath Does An In-Store Live Performance Before Tour

Mutemath--Odd Soul

For those die-hard Twilight fans, particularly of the first Twilight movie, you may remember the super-rock-and-roll song called “Spotlight.” Well, meet Mutemath, the band behind the song. Their debut track that played in the movie certainly brought them closer to their own spotlight. Now, they are doing a live in-store performance on November 4th at the Warner Bros. Records Boutique Store in Burbank, California, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The band will be signing their new album, Odd Soul, and giving away free posters, as well! For fans living in the area or close to it, at least, make sure you get there early as parking is limited. Fortunately for fans not close to California, they can still catch the live performance of the guys on www.livestream.com or by clicking the appropriate link on the band’s official webpage, www.mutemath.com.

This live in-store performance will be the band’s last US performance before they go on their 2011 Odd Soul Japan Tour. Their new album, released October 4th,  has all of the earmarks of the band’s edgy sound and then some. “We really wanted to just cut to the chase on this album and compose music that would work for us on stage. We were craving more high-spirited music for this album so any song idea that came close to depressing got nixed…We’re not good at being dark so we wanted to see how far we could go into creating something glaringly bright.”

After their Japan tour, the band plans to hit Texas, California, Washington, and eventually the east coast–Philadelphia, New York, and Washington D.C. Check out their new album on Youtube. You won’t regret it.
