Forbes released the list of the highest paid DJs on August 2nd , 2012 and there are some DJs on here that we know and love. DJ Tiesto came in at the  #1 Spot earning $22 million and Skrillex came in at the second with $15 million. Well, guess who else made the top 10? DJ Pauly D and he came in at #7 earning him $11 million.

There are some talks on twitter and facebook if he really earns this spot? Think of it this way, he became a huge reality star coming from the Jersey Shore and he banked on the opportunity.  Who wouldn’t? In fact in as of August 2011, the show bought in 8.8 million viewers.

Not only was he just on some T.V. show, he also did a gig with the sexy pop act Britney Spears and signed to the 50 Cent’s record label. These are two very big acts in the music industry that helped rise to the career that he has built today. He also has done tours all across the country from San Antonio, Texas to Cleveland Ohio. He also released a song that reached high on the ITunes chart called Night Of My Life as it peaked at #3 and is still climbing.

There are also some questions that other people have raised like with a list like this, does he reach the caliber that these other DJs have? Is he going to be a fad and fade away? Only time will tell. With MTV pumping out seasons of the Jersey Shore there is no telling. Again this isn’t the list of their best DJ’s, this is the list of the highest grossing.
