This dance poppy hit helped her break the record previously held by Madonna for ten singles to be in the top 20 in the shortest amount of time. Rihanna achieved this goal in six years and four months. Just in case you were wondering Madonna had six years and nine months. After the sixth week on the chart Rihanna hit her 11th  Number One. In the fifth week of its’ release, she sold about 231,000 copies. This is only the beginning. Her sales of this song eventually reached to about 1,057,000 which means this is her 20th download to reach the million dollar milestone.

Out with the ex in with the next. David Guetta stepped up to the plate and worked with Rihanna on her latest single, “Right Now.” This song is not officially released in the US until June 24, 2013 however it is already cracking the chart. This single has hit Number 33 so far Hot Dance Club Songs and Number 19 on the Hot Dance Electronic Songs. This single is going to get hot and I think it can handle the heat of the summer.

Their single “Get Lucky” is the best selling single of the year in the UK. The French duo has 155,000 downloads in 2013 so far. They sold 50,000 in the first two days! There is no doubt that they are taking this straight to the bank. Daft Punk knocked off the Rudimental’s pedestal as the single Waiting All Night Long was sent to Number 2.

As I read where this song has been on the chart, it has created heat all around the world. This single is Number One in Belgium. Denmark, France and Ireland. This is just to name a few, but to sum it up for you this song is taking Europe by storm.

“Waiting All Night Long” was the fresh baked bread coming right out of the oven for it was released on April 14, 2013 by Asylum Records.

However this isn’t their first time at the top of the charts. “Feel The Love” which features John Newman took over the Number One spot in June 2012. This single was released in May 14, 2012 even though they recorded it in 2011. Feel The Love was released by two record labels Asylum and Black Butter Records. Rudimental worked along side Mike Spencer to produce this hot hit.

She released a single called “Feels So Right” which was produced by the world renowned Giuseppe D. It was released back in March of 2012. The track was her first US release. However she didn’t stop there.

Her track “Will This Be Love” was released on YouTube on November 20, 2012. Even though this is her only second release, with this track she started to make some noise with this catchy up beat tune.

This hard working singer was hungry and wanted more to eat. She released her third single called Just You and I. This track was released on iTunes on February 22, 2013. This is still a pretty hot and fresh track.

From a writers stand point this is all but tabloid journalism. She doesn’t have the slightest clue of what this genre is about. It’s not about drugs, alcohol or being better than everybody else. This genre is all about feeling good and make you want to raise the roof. The way that she put this genre as a whole, is down right offensive and sounds like to me she is inexperienced with EDM.

Every GOOD DJ has their own style. This article brings up a point that every set is pre planned and reading the crowd is the thing of the past. I believe that sometimes it is pre planned but not always. Reading the crowd is very important in a set when you are doing it live with a crowd. Not only that, the article points out that if you play the same songs every set they are a robot. I believe this isn’t true either. Think about it this way. Why do radios have a “Top 40″ format? Its because these are the type 40 songs that people like to hear according to the chart. If some crowds like the same song, why not play it to make them happy?

Avicii had something up his sleeve and decided to respond to the article. To sum it up for you, he was saying that he was very upset that this article was published and his quotes were misinterpreted. In fact my impression from his response, this article was a flat out lie. This is a quote from his response. “We agreed to let GQ into our camp to actually portray a serious side of this music to the masses who might not now and might not understand. We hoped they could unveil and communicate the reason for there being so much love within, and how such a great community has risen organically for, this music genre. The problem was that a journalist that knows nothing of electronic music was sent to be on the road with me for a couple of days and then tried piecing together what it’s all about. She failed miserably.”
